Spanish Trailer For Stefano Bessoni’s IMAGO MORTIS Plus A Look At His Next.

Stefano Bessoni’s Imago Mortis is a film that we’ve been tracking for a good long time around these parts. From the producers of Pan’s Labyrinth and The Orphanage and the script writer of [REC], Bessoni’s film follows a college student who stumbles across a secret society obsessed with capturing images of death through the eyes of the dying - and isn’t afraid to kill to get them. We ran the italian trailer for the film some time back but with a Spanish release coming in July we now have a Spanish trailer as well. And, as an added perk, Bessoni has also passed along design sketches from his next film - the upcoming Galgenlieder, based on the Song of the Gallows by Christian Morgenstern.

Two Teasers For Gaspar Noe’s ENTER THE VOID

I’m not one hundred percent certain that these were legitimately released rather than leaked and so I’m not certain how long they will remain available, but two very brief teasers for Irreversible director Gaspar Noe’s latest have arrived online. Enter The Void proved to be one of the more divisive films at a hugely divisive Cannes Film Festival this year and we’re awaiting a review or two on it from those who were able to stay until the end of the fest - I had to leave before the film screened - but you can find the teasers below the break.

What Goes Better With Dinner Than Chainsaws? Nothing! It’s The First Trailer For MACABRE

Posted by Todd Brown at 11:53am.

Macabre tells the tale of the most horrifying night for 6 friends. Two newly weds Adjie and Astrid, along with 3 of their best friends decided to have an interstate road trip as a last attempt to reconcile Adjie with his estranged little sister Ladya. Their drive is however being cut abruptly when they run into Maya, a strange out of nowhere girl who wanders aimlessly into their path. “I’ve been robbed” is all she has to say, the friends unanimously decided to give her a ride to her isolated house by the end of the woods.

Maya introduces Adjie and friends to her courteous blue-blooded mother; Dara, a woman of ageless enigma, and few spoken words. Dara insisted that their Samaritan act should be repaid with a feastly dinner. This is where the night turns into a crimson-hell for the 6 friends; finding themselves trapped and hunted by Dara and her cult-like family of three deadly protégés, born and raised to systematically eliminate unsuspecting passerby for one nefarious reason. One by one slaughtered, everybody will bleed, the darkest of night never looked so red.

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Indonesian horror film Macabre - the feature length expansion of stellar short project Dara - from the Mo Brothers for a good lon gtime around these parts and now we are finally rewarded with the first teaser for the film. The goal on this one was to wed Eastern and Western horror styles and it looks to me like they’ve done rather well, indeed. Check it out below the break.
